Bibens Home Center was formed in 1942 by owner Eric "Rick" Bibens II, father Eric R. Bibens.  He was a builder of fine homes up until 1972 .  At that time he decided to expand the retail store to 6500 sq. ft and close the construction division.  The store was under the Service Star Hardware co-op until 1982 when Rick purchased the business and converted to ACE Hardware.  In 1986 the original property was sold and moved to the current location where the new 12,00 sq. ft store was built.
